OUR ROOTS
At Infused Mediterranean Foods, we are grateful to have started this culinary journey in 2017. It was an opportunity for me, Ruba Alqishawi, a passionate chef and entrepreneur with years of experience in the food industry, to bring something special to the table. Being both a Red Seal Chef and Nutrition & Business Management certified, I wanted to create a brand that offered unique, flavorful options in the plant-based ready-to-serve and frozen take-away category.
Drawing inspiration from the rich culinary traditions passed down within my talented family, I took those authentic recipes and added my own original twist of flavor combinations and varieties. It was a labour of love to develop our current line-up of Infused products. And it was truly a joy to see the positive response and significant growth we experienced in 2017, starting with our humble beginnings at Farmer's Markets in Edmonton and St. Albert.
